As a provider of medical cannabis, you want to ensure that your patients have the best possible experience when using your products. One way to achieve this is by offering a high-quality grinder that is easy to use and produces consistent results. However, not all grinders are created equal, and many can actually do more harm than good, regardless of their cost.
At MMJGRIND, we understand the importance of a good grinder, and we have developed a unique design that addresses the common issues that can lead to grinder failure.
Another reason why grinders may fail is due to the degradation of the grinding teeth. As the teeth rub against each other, they can become worn down over time, which can make it more difficult to grind the cannabis. This can be especially problematic if the grinder is made from low-quality materials or if it is used frequently.
Kind's innovative design addresses this issue by incorporating a bush bearing mechanism we call the FRICTION REDUCTION RING, which allows for a more efficient grinding process and prevents clogging.
Another common issue with grinders is the loss of terpene profile. When buds are crushed, more trichomes are damaged, and the terpenes are released at a faster rate, leading to a loss of flavor and aroma. Kind's grinder uses a gentle cutting motion that preserves the trichomes and terpenes, resulting in a more flavorful and aromatic end product.
In conclusion, herb grinders are precision-demanding applications that require proper construction, material selection, and machining precision. By understanding how grinders work and choosing a high-quality grinder, you can enjoy a consistent and flavorful smoking experience without the frustration of clogging or contamination.
By providing your patients with a high-quality grinder like Kind's, you can ensure that they are getting the best possible experience from your products. Not only will they appreciate the improved quality and consistency, but they will also appreciate the convenience and affordability of our unique design.
In addition to improving the user experience for your patients, investing in a quality grinder design can also have a positive impact on your brand's reach and marketing efforts. For example, at MMJGRIND, we print a unique QR code at the bottom of each grinder, which can be scanned by patients to learn more about the product and easily catch up on your latest products in the future. This not only enhances the convenience factor for patients, but also promotes brand loyalty and repeat purchases for the long-term success of the KIND product which is backup by warranty.

There is no straight answer to this question. Confusion is all over, and our information, if not consumed consistently, could add to the confusion.
Let's break down herb grinders materials:
We wrote about titanium as the ultimate material for grinders, but that doesn't mean that the grinder will be the most durable, as it's mechanical construction is important as well.
So, what about stainless steel? Well, it really depends on its grade. A 304 stainless steel grinder might be better than any low-grade Asia-made stainless steel, but the recommended grade would be 316L. So, does that mean that a grinder made from 316L stainless steel is safe? Not really, because poor construction of the grinder will develop friction and wearing down will occur.
Grinder Construction? Friction - Friction - Friction
Yes, three times is the magic number. Why? Because we wish to emphasize the importance of a very simple rule: friction. Friction is generated by the contact of two surfaces. Accelerated friction is generated when the materials are made from the same compound. So, it doesn't really matter what material the grinder is made of—as long as the contact surface consists of the same compounds, the grinder will degrade. Naturally lower grade materials or softer materials tend to wear out faster. A high-strength material will do a better job withstanding the friction.
If your grinder is made from low bio-compatible material, it most probably is made from the same materials that put you in direct risk of medicinal contamination.
Summary
To sum it up, a safe grinder’s durability depends on both materials and construction. The minimum requirement is a biocompatible material. For longevity, a well-thought construction is required. With MMJGRIND, we have adopted both!

Maintaining a clean grinder is crucial to its functionality. There is not a single method to clean a grinder, as the chosen solvents relies on the raw material. Not all plastics, for example, can resist alcohol.
Depending on what end results you would like to achieve, you should use the guide at your own free will. Now that you have all the materials ready, disassemble your grinder and let's begin.
Your grinder is made out of plastic, we suggest taking a drop of alcohol and pouring it on the outside of the grinder to perform a surface-resistant test. Wait for about 5 minutes, and with a toothpick, test the surface resistance by scratching the treated area.
If the treated area becomes mushy, do not continue using the alcohol. Instead, switch to hot water or a citrus acidic-based cleaner.
If the treated area does not react to the alcohol, you can continue to the next step.
Use the glass container to submerge the grinder parts in alcohol and let them rest for a few minutes. The duration really depends on how dirty your grinder is. Rinse with hot water and repeat if necessary.
Remove the grinder part from the container, but do not wipe it; instead, use a toothpick to remove any remains from the corners of the rotating section. Then, move ahead and clean the grinder teeth. Repeat the same procedure using a toothbrush to clean the teeth. If it is required, re-soak the grinder in the alcohol until you get your desired results.
Use the toothbrush to remove any resin stuck on the external and internal rotating surfaces. The cleaning of the rotating surfaces are crucial for the grinder’s operation. If you want your grinder to stay with you for a long time, this area should be kief free.
Now that your grinder is all brushed, use a clean paper towel to wipe any remains from the moving parts. You can also wash the grinder in hot water after it has been brushed. Repeat the steps if you are not satisfied with the results.
We have a made a short video explaining how to maintain the MMJGRIND.

Depending on your grinder’s construction, there is an effective way to use it.
First, you need to understand which part is the top part and which is the bottom part. We recommend you ignore the manufacturer’s positioning of the two pieces and operate your grinder according to its mechanical construction.
We actually made a post about it, titled “top or bottom,” which covers that topic, as we find it extremely important. When we design our products, we do so from the inside out; unfortunately, not all the products out there are DESIGNED. Most of them are just poor copies of poor copies.
The picture to the right shows the bottom part of a product. Now, imagine loading it with flowers and closing the lid. Where would all the grounded material spread? Exactly. It will find its way to the surrounding wall and get stuck between the moving parts, leading to the clogging of the grinder, degradation, and contamination over time.
What you want to look for is the loading of the male part by securely sliding into the female part without any flowers between the rotating section. The picture below represents a good structure of the male and female pieces of a grinder. However, can you imagine what would get stuck on the magnet?
Now that your grinder is loaded with herbs, slowly and gently close the lid. As you rotate the lid, do not smash it down; doing so will lead to more pollen sticking to your blades and magnets. In the case of grinders built like the one in the picture above, this will lead to accelerated wear in general.
Remember you don’t want the pollen to stick on your blades, you want to vapor it… right? Now, rotate forth and back, don't go for full rotations, just make sure resistance is not being built up in the grinding chamber. The last thing you want is to build up pressure on the grinder, this will lead to excessive wear of the grinder bushing surface.
Now that you have broken entry to your bud, simply break in the bud by going back and forth—twist and turn your grinder part in the opposite direction until you get the perfect sizing you want. Keep in mind that the grind will become finer the more you twist, so it is really up to your personal preferences and what you intend to use it for.

Absolutely, that's correct—what you're witnessing in the image is indeed a frozen grinder.
Have you found your grinder stuck, refusing to budge? No need to panic; we've got you covered. Let's delve into the intricacies of bringing your grinder back to optimal functionality.
One effective method to liberate your grinder is by subjecting it to a deep freeze for a couple of hours. Once you've allowed ample time, carefully take it out and wrap the grinder with a towel. For optimal results, it's advisable to avoid direct hand contact, ensuring your hands don't unintentionally warm it up during the process.
With your wrapped grinder in hand, gently tap the lid against a sturdy surface. Opting for the floor is a viable choice, or if available, a small hammer can be employed for a more controlled impact. It's essential to note that excessive force is unnecessary; small, measured shocks are ample to dislodge any pollen that might have adhered to the metal. The freezing process renders the pollen structure brittle, facilitating its easy fragmentation.
This method, though seemingly unconventional, proves effective in reviving a stuck grinder, allowing you to resume your grinding adventures seamlessly.
Remember, the journey of understanding your grinder can be as fascinating as the grinds it produces. Happy grinding! 🌿✨
